OYO AND LAGOS, NIGERIA - Oyo and Lagos last week became the latest Southern
States to begin the full implementation of the Sharia legal system. A
source close to the two governments said they adopted the system in order
to enjoy the same privileges which Sharia-practising states in the north
are enjoying. There are now more than a dozen northern Nigerian States
that have adopted Sharia law in the past three years.
The source said: “We couldn’t wait to join our brothers across
the Niger in enjoying the benefits of sharia. You don’t know how
frustrating it is under the present judicial system to deal with people
who go against the wishes of the state! You waste enormous amount of time
and state resources to deal with them and what happens? They just run
to the law court for protection or throw some human rights nonsense at
you and walk away with nothing more than a slap on the wrist.
“Now, we’re happy to have a system whereby we can cut off
those wrists or stone their owners to death in the name of religion, with
no questions asked! We’re very excited at the prospect of seeing
the majority of our citizens subdued and unable to think for themselves.”
Niger, one of the last Northern Nigerian States to adopt Sharia law has
sent a message of solidarity to the new Southern entrants. The message
urged them to take full advantage of the system to purge their states
of anarchists and subversives such as academics, professionals, scholars,
students, thieves, infidels and bigots.
Said he: "You will see that your sharia-loving indigenes scattered
all over the country will respond by returning home and your misfits will
migrate to England or America."
